Applying for a place at Church Lawton School

Parents

We offer education to young people aged 4 to 19 with a diagnosis of autism, who have been referred by their Local Authority.

Our admissions chart is a step-by-step guide to help you through the process of getting your child registered for Church Lawton School.

Whether you have already included our school on your child’s Educational Health Care Plan, or whether you are concerned that your current school is not meeting your child’s needs and are considering other options, we hope you find this chart useful.

We also encourage you to contact us to find out more about what we provide, and to arrange a visit. Download our admissions flowchart at the bottom of this page.

Oversubscription criteria

The school will work collaboratively with all neighbouring Local Authorities to manage referrals. If our school can meet an applicant's needs, it is an appropriate placement. If we have no current vacancies, all such applicants will go on a waiting list. Where there are more applicants than vacancies, places will be prioritised according to the admissions criteria which also act as the oversubscription criteria. Please refer to the admissions policy for further information.

Commissioners

If you are working with a child for whom Church Lawton School might be a suitable school, we recommend that you contact us for an initial conversation about the child’s needs and the services we offer.

We would also be delighted to welcome you to visit us.
