Lunch and Snack Arrangements

Lunch

Meals are currently provided by Mellor’s Catering Service, a family run business, who pride themselves on quality and service. A sandwich option is also available on a daily basis.

Lunches cost £2.65 per day and should be paid for on a daily basis or weekly in advance. Payments should be made online through our Parent Portal MCAS (My Child at School). If for any reason you cannot access MCAS during your child’s first week, your child will still be able to order meals and snacks and payment will be taken once your account is set up, all we ask is that you notify school of any issues as soon as possible.

All Reception to Year 2 children are entitled to a free school lunch through the government funded Universal Free School Meals Scheme. You may of course send a packed lunch if you wish – this is entirely your choice. 

We encourage all eligible families to apply for free school meals as the school will receive additional funding in the form of Pupil Premium, which will be used to further improve standards for your child. Even if your child is having Universal Free School Meals, please check to see if he/she is eligible for Free School Meals and complete an application using the link below. Please note that if you reside in a different Local Authority and are already eligible for Free School Meals, you will still need to apply to Cheshire East.

Snack

Morning break time snack is also provided by Mellor’s catering. There is a good selection of items available, such as toast, teacakes, cheese oatcakes, waffles, crumpets, fruit, milk and juice, all of which can be pre-ordered every morning. All snacks are priced at 65p each and should be paid via MCAS.

Please make sure you inform school of any food allergies in advance by completing the Medical Update form and Mellors Special Dietary Needs form.
